My Story
With over 7 years as a CLIA surveyor for the Arkansas Department of Health and more than a decade as an independent technical consultant, I bring a unique insider's perspective to laboratory compliance training. I've surveyed hundreds of laboratories and helped countless managers navigate the complex world of federal CLIA regulations.

My path to becoming a compliance specialist wasn't traditional. After earning my B.S. in Biology with a minor in Zoology, I worked in environmental science before discovering medical laboratory science. I completed my training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and spent several years working on the bench before transitioning to regulatory compliance.

As a CLIA surveyor, I gained invaluable insight into what regulators actually look for during inspections and the common pitfalls that trip up even experienced laboratory professionals. This insider knowledge proved invaluable when I launched my independent consulting practice in 2014. My business grew rapidly because I could offer something most consultants couldn't: real-world experience from both sides of the compliance equation.

Throughout my consulting career, I've helped laboratory managers find their footing with regulations, assisted seasoned professionals in balancing compliance requirements with budget constraints, and guided teams through successful inspections. My passion for teaching and making complex regulations accessible has driven every aspect of my work.

Now, I'm expanding my impact through comprehensive training programs. Rather than being limited to one-on-one consulting, I can equip more laboratory professionals with the knowledge and confidence they need to ensure compliance while delivering quality patient care. My goal is to demystify CLIA regulations and provide practical, actionable guidance that laboratories can implement immediately.

When you work with me, you're not just getting textbook knowledge – you're getting real-world expertise from someone who has been on both sides of the survey process and understands exactly what it takes to succeed in today's regulatory environment.
