Hi, I'm Amy. I've been on both sides of the survey table
— and that changes everything.

For 7 years, I was a CLIA surveyor for the Arkansas Department of Health.

That means I walked into laboratories with a notepad and federal regulations in hand. I conducted hundreds of surveys across all laboratory types — from small physician office labs to larger hospital-based facilities. I know what surveyors look for because I was the surveyor. I know which deficiencies appear on paper versus which ones actually get cited. I know what good documentation looks like and what makes an inspector pause.

That experience is the foundation of everything I teach at That Lab Chic.

Why That Lab Chic and my Background

One-on-one consulting has limits. I can only help so many labs at a time, and the truth is — most laboratory professionals need access to reliable compliance guidance well before a survey is scheduled.

That Lab Chic is how I scale that insider knowledge. Instead of working with a handful of clients, I can equip thousands of lab directors, managers, and lead techs with the same practical understanding I've built over nearly two decades in this field.

No jargon. No 400-page PDFs. No overwhelm.

Just answers from someone who has genuinely been on both sides of the process.
